In the 5th match of the Corporate Cricket League, IndiaNIC thrashed Green House with a 10 wicket win on 5th November. It was an exciting evening for the people. Two very exciting matches unfolded and the third one, India vs. Australia, was shown on the screen, which sadly India lost by a mere margin of 3 runs.
It was Green House who won the toss and elected to bat first but managed only 60 runs before getting bowled out without being able to play all the 16 overs. The top scorer of their innings was Tilak Reswadkar who made 27 off 38 balls.
This proved to be a very small total for IndiaNIC who chased down the target in just 6 overs without loosing any wickets. The openers came thrashing boundaries all over the ground playing some stunning shots. The atmosphere was electric and the crowd had a lot to cheer for as there was some good hitting going on.
Naman Shah was given the Man of the Match award for his brilliant performance with both bat and ball. He took 4 wickets and made 28 runs in the opening stand along with Kushang Modi hitting 4 fours.
In the second match of the evening, played between Idea Indians and Indus Towers, Idea Indians won by 26 runs. Idea Indians won the toss and decided to bat first. They made 100 for the loss of 9 wickets in their 16 overs. Saiban Qureshi was the top scorer with 20 off 22 balls.
Although, Indus Towers made a steady start and the middle order did fine too, but as Amit Singh came on to bowl, the entire batting order tumbled as he picked 4 wickets straight in a line, one after the other. He ended with the figures of 9/4 in 3.2 overs and was given the man of the match.
