Sweet 16s
Corporate Cricket League will feature 16 overs matches till the semi-final stage and a 20 over final to be played between the final two teams. A total of 12 teams will be taking part in this much awaited event and all will be the local corporate houses.
In all the 16 over matches, one bowler will be allowed a quota of maximum 4 overs each. In any circumstances, a bowler will not be allowed to bowl more then one forth of the total overs of an inning.
The fielding restriction, will apply for the first 5 overs wherein not more than 2 fielders can be allowed outside the 30 yard circle. There will be a 10 minutes break between the two innings, which is subject to be reduced or increased according to the start of the game.
The final will played as a 20 over match. In the match one bowler will be allowed a quota of maximum of 5 overs with fielding restrictions going on till the 6th over. Rest of the rules and regulations remain the same.
Venue
All the matches will be played under the flood lights at the Parth party plot and ground with a tennis ball. Rest of the rules of the game will as followed in the international standards except for a few changes here and there. The ground rules have been set by the CCL committee and are subject to change according to the committee's discretion.
Time
The tournament will commence on 3rd November and will go on till 14th November. All the matches are to be finished between these dates, unless there is an unavoidable circumstance and the matches are postponed or cancelled. (That will be decided by CCL committee members only)
Everyday, two matches will be played, the first one starting at 6:30 pm and the second starting at 9:30 pm the same evening. Any team failing to either start or finish the match on the decided time will be subject to penalty by the CCL committee. This would be decided if any one team delays the start of the match and the other team is ready to play.
If the team fielding first fails to bowl their quota of overs in the given time, then they will face less number of overs in the ratio of 1 over for additional 4 minutes taken. If, on the other hand, the team batting first delays the innings then runs from their total score will be deducted based on the innings average multiplied by the number of overs delayed.
